Easels for Wall Salt-Stone

The morning was spent finishing up an application for a big commission, so it was time to crank up the new a/c out in the studio and blow the cool air into the shop with a big fan. This kept the sawdust swirling nicely throughout the afternoon. These easels really just needed legs added, and bracing, and headers up top as they weren’t quite high enough (hard to believe). They all sit at a 35 degree angle, which I hope will keep the stones from jumping to their doom. My last shipment of stones was made on Monday, and they arrived today- another 30 of the brick border-stones. I cut all the salt plates down to 8×8 inch squares yesterday, .
Next, I begin layout of the stones, and create the French Cleat for the steel frames.
